The inaugural tournament featured 12 men's and 6 women's teams.
The men's event culminated with the Burwood Blues & Parramatta in the final of the cup division with the Burwood Blues previous winners of the Hawaii Hurricane Sevens & the Bangkok 10's taking the inaugural title 34 - 24 with former Australian 7's player Nick Reily named player of the tournament.
Sydney University & Tuggeranong Vikings reached the final of the womens division. Sydney Uni capped off a great 2009 being runners up in the Sydney premiership coming home too strong for the mighty Vikings side from the ACT, which featured Australian 7's Player and Wallaroo Kristy Giteau winning the division 20 -10 after scores were locked at 10 all at half time. Uni's Sheridan Goh was named women's player of the tournament.
Sydney Premier Clubs Warringah & Gordon contested the plate final with the strong Warringah squad featuring Australian 7's player Willie Bishop defeating the Gordon Highlanders 34-5.
The Bowl division was contested by the Lloyd McDermott Indigenous team who defeated local Central Coast premiers the Avoca Sharks.
